I’ll be documenting my travel expenses in Sri Lanka on a day-to-day basis so that you get an idea of how much you’re likely to spend yourself.
In addition to that, I’ll be putting up a cumulative expense report as well which would give an overall picture of the budget you need to travel in Sri Lanka on a budget.
Here’s what I’ve spent starting from prior to departure to immediately after landing:
|1||Booked Homestay room on Airbnb for 2 nights||$50||5000|
|2||Airbnb service charges||$6||600|
|4||Purchased local SIM at airport from Mobitel||$10||1000|
|Grand Total||$93||Rs. 9300|
So all in all I’ve spent $93 or Rs.9300 and that’s in addition to the ticket. It’s going to be a long tour by the look of things.
Lets see if the expense go up or down as the tour progresses.
