I’ll be documenting my travel expenses in Sri Lanka on a day-to-day basis so that you get an idea of how much you’re likely to spend yourself.
In addition to that, I’ll be putting up a cumulative expense report as well which would give an overall picture of the budget you need to travel in Sri Lanka on a budget.
Here’s what I’ve spent starting from prior to departure to immediately after landing:
S.N | ITEM | EXPENSE | |
Dollar | Pakistani Rupee | ||
1 | Booked Homestay room on Airbnb for 2 nights | $50 | 5000 |
2 | Airbnb service charges | $6 | 600 |
3 | Airport pickup | $27 | 2700 |
4 | Purchased local SIM at airport from Mobitel | $10 | 1000 |
Grand Total | $93 | Rs. 9300 |
So all in all I’ve spent $93 or Rs.9300 and that’s in addition to the ticket. It’s going to be a long tour by the look of things.
Lets see if the expense go up or down as the tour progresses.
